What makes your brick slips better than clay slips?
We make our brick slips in-house, as opposed to slicing an existing traditional clay brick. The materials we use create a very high quality composite mortar. This has many benefits, including very low porosity – 90% less absorption versus traditional clay. It is also resistant to impact, abrasion and frost. It can be manufactured in multiple colours, textures and finishes. We can even match to existing brickwork using our bespoke design service. For bricks that don’t exist anymore, or are not manufactured anymore, we can also match them – extending the life of your project. They are suitable for internal and external usage. As they are a new technology and are not kiln fired, they also have less environmental impact.
I have a large scale commercial job. Can you still help me?

Of course! For all commercial jobs – as well as more information about the rest of our product range – please contact us for further help. or visit the Monolith website for further information.

Are your products easy to use?
Yes. They are easier to work with, handle and apply when compared to traditional clay brick slips. They also provide higher strength per gram. They are also better value: when it comes to shipping, our enhanced brick slips are not as heavy, thinner, and we fit more per pallet, saving you money on delivery fees.
Where can I use your brick slips?
Our products are suited to most applications – both internal and external.

They have been installed in hotels, flagship stores, high street shops, new builds, renovation projects and extensions, just to name a few applications.

If you have any specific requirements, please contact us for more information.

Why 13mm in depth, instead of 20mm?
Our brick slips are not cut from an existing brick and do not require extra depth to facilitate the cutting blade used in the process of making a traditional brick slip. Our research and common sense shows that a 13mm slip requires less pointing material than a 20mm slip, which reduces cost and takes less time.
